Exeter Area MG Owners Club, “The Ace of Clubs”, have had yet another sucessful Moor2Sea event in 2022 with more than 60 MG’s of various types attending from far and wide.
So what do we do now, well plan for “More To See 2023” is the answer with the slightly altered title. After many years at the helm with regards to planning, organising and exectuting the Moor2Sea event Roger & Pat Mayo have handed the reigns over to our club Chairman Warwick Knowles and his trusty personal secretary Lorna Knowles to bring next years event to life with the help of several willing volunteers. A search for the start venue has been fruitful and a date has been set so on the 28th May 2023 all the entrants will decend on Cullompton Rugby Club which is about one mile from the M5 junction 28 turn off and where the fun will start.
The cost of the event has been considered taking into account the costs like advertising, plaques etc. We have also taking into account how everyone’s lives have been affected by rising costs in all aspects of our daily lives. So, we have made the decision to reduce the cost to below what we asked for last years event and increase the content by including a Devonshire/Cornish Cream Tea (depending on your choice to have the jam or the cream first) for all entrants, well done I hear you say. The 2023 event will cost just £33 for driver and one passenger and £30 for a single entrant. Do remember although we are an MG Owners Club many members have other classic and modern classic cars that are equally welcome to this event and any others that the club offers. So now you just need either book following the directions on this page or the Enjoying MG advert and those that may appear in other motoring press magazines etc.

So in summery the More To See event will take place on the 28th May 2023 starting at the Cullompton Rugby Club and that it is £33 for the driver and one passenger, £30 for a single driver and will include coffee/tea on arrival, route map, rally plaque and a Devonshire/Cornish Cream tea for each entrant at the finish point back at the Cullompton Rugby Club. We will also be having a raffle that will be drawn at the end of the day. I believe that there will be a maximum of 80 entrants for the event so getting your request in quick to Derrick for an application form using the contact sheet below. The prefered payment is by BACS but you may wish to discuss other possible methods with Derrick.
